CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

Brilliant Driving School

1. General

This Cancellation and Refund Policy applies to driving lessons, lesson packages, road test bookings, warm-up sessions, and related services provided by Brilliant Driving School.

2. Notice for Cancellations

Students must provide at least 24 to 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a driving lesson, appointment, or other booked service, unless the school states otherwise in writing.

3. Late Cancellations

Where proper notice is not given, the school may charge for the missed lesson, deduct the lesson from the package, or apply a rescheduling fee.

4. No-Shows

If a student does not attend a scheduled lesson, pickup, or appointment without sufficient notice, the appointment may be treated as a no-show and the full fee may be forfeited.

5. Lateness

If a student is late, the lesson may still end at the scheduled time. Time lost due to lateness may not be made up. Excessive lateness may result in cancellation of the lesson and loss of the appointment.

6. Package Refunds

Refund requests for unused lessons or services will be reviewed based on:

  • the number of lessons already used

  • administrative costs

  • any discounts applied to the package

  • any non-refundable booking or reservation fees

  • applicable legal requirements

Where a refund is approved, the school may deduct the value of lessons already used at the regular rate rather than the discounted package rate.

7. Non-Refundable Fees

Unless required by law or otherwise agreed in writing, the following may be non-refundable:

  • completed lessons

  • missed lessons

  • late-cancelled lessons

  • road test booking support fees

  • vehicle reservation fees

  • administrative fees already incurred

8. Road Test Bookings

Road test support services, including instructor time, vehicle reservation, pickup, travel, and waiting time, are often scheduled in advance. Once confirmed, these fees may be non-refundable unless the school agrees otherwise or the law requires otherwise.

9. School Cancellations

If the school must cancel a lesson due to instructor illness, vehicle issues, weather, or other circumstances, the lesson will normally be rescheduled. Where rescheduling is not possible, a credit or refund may be provided at the school’s discretion, subject to applicable law.

10. Method of Refund

Approved refunds will generally be issued using the original payment method where possible, less any applicable deductions.

11. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy limits any cancellation or refund rights that apply under Ontario consumer protection law.
